The Balvenie Unveils Four New Whiskies in “A Collection of Curious Casks”

The Balvenie has unveiled an exciting new series of expressions, promising to captivate whisky enthusiasts with its rich and diverse offerings.

Dubbed “The Balvenie: A Collection of Curious Casks,” this range features four unique drams, each designed to reflect the distinctive environment of The Balvenie’s warehouses.

Retail Availability

Out of the four new expressions, two will be available to the general retail market. The four The Balvenie whiskies include:

• 14-year-old American Bourbon Barrel – Available at UK retailers
• 18-year-old French Pineau Cask – Available at UK retailers
• 11-Year-Old Hungarian Red Wine Cask – Global travel retail exclusive
• 17-Year-Old Spanish Oak Cask – Exclusively at The Balvenie shop

Crafting the Collection

The creation of “A Collection of Curious Casks” is the result of a close collaboration between malt master Kelsey McKechnie and George Paterson, the warehouse and samples coordinator at The Balvenie. Together, they meticulously selected the key casks that give this range its distinctive character.

Expanding the Stories Range

This new series is part of The Balvenie’s ever-expanding Stories Range, which already includes notable bottlings such as the 14 Year Old Week of Peat, the 12 Year Old The Sweet Toast of American Oak, and the 19 Year Old A Revelation of Cask and Character.

Kelsey McKechnie expressed her excitement about the new collection: “This collection exemplifies the rare and limited The Balvenie casks making their debut.
