Bowmore® and Aston Martin have revealed the highly anticipated second and final release in their groundbreaking ARC Series: the Bowmore ARC-54. This extraordinary creation marks the pinnacle of a prestigious partnership, blending a rare 54-year-old single malt whisky with a striking, handblown decanter inspired by the engineering marvel that is the Aston Martin Valkyrie hypercar.

A Whisky Over Half a Century in the Making

Distilled in November 1968, this incredibly rare whisky is a true homage to the art of maturation. Bowmore’s ARC-54 celebrates the distillery’s belief that time in cask unlocks unmatched depth and character in single malt. After maturing for 54 years within the revered No.1 Vaults, the whisky rested in a 2nd Fill European Oak Sherry Butt and a 3rd Fill American Oak Hogshead.

Inspired by the Golden Ratio, the final composition includes 61.8% European Oak-aged spirit and 38.2% American Oak-aged spirit, later unified for 15 months. The result? A symphony of infinite layers of flavour that captivate the senses with every sip.

Design That Moves: The Aston Martin Connection

The decanter housing the ARC-54 is nothing short of a masterpiece in its own right. Handblown and sculptural, its design pays tribute to the F1-inspired aerodynamics of the Aston Martin Valkyrie, particularly its full-length venturi tunnels responsible for generating over 1,100 kg of downforce.

Merging aesthetics and performance, the decanter reflects the natural, fluid lines of Islay’s rugged landscape, mirroring both the terroir of Bowmore and the engineering artistry of Aston Martin.
